Donor Update
Dear Cascade Leadership Donors,
On behalf of the Mulgrave School Board, I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your extraordinary generosity and belief in our community.
Your leadership gifts - ranging from $100,000 to $1,500,000 - are far more than financial commitments. They are powerful statements of confidence in Mulgrave’s future and in the bold direction of our Cascade Campaign. Because of you, we are moving forward with clarity and conviction as we advance plans for our new STEM Centre and Centre for Teaching Excellence, Research and Practice, expand our teacher housing initiatives, and strengthen our endowment for financial assistance.
As Board Chair, I want you to know how pivotal your support has been at the governance level. Lead commitments such as yours provide the foundation upon which the Board makes thoughtful, responsible decisions about timelines, scope, and long-term financial stewardship. Your early investment reduces uncertainty, strengthens our financial modelling, and allows us to proceed with ambition while maintaining prudence.
The new STEM and Professional Development
Centre will be a transformative space - designed to inspire innovation, interdisciplinary learning, and real-world problem solving for generations of students. At the same time, our commitment to teacher housing recognises a critical reality: attracting and retaining exceptional educators in our region requires bold, strategic solutions. And through the growth of our endowment for financial assistance, we reaffirm that a Mulgrave education must remain accessible to talented students from a wide range of backgrounds.
These three pillars - facilities, faculty, and access - are deeply interconnected. Together, they strengthen the very core of who we are as a school and who we aspire to become. Your leadership has not only accelerated this work; it signals to the broader community that this vision is worthy of investment. Others will follow because you stepped forward first. Thank you for partnering with us in shaping Mulgrave’s future with courage and foresight.
I look forward to sharing continued progress with you and to celebrating the lasting impact of your generosity in the months and years ahead.
With sincere appreciation,
Kate Hoogendoorn (she/her)
Chair, Board of Directors
Mulgrave School
Every milestone represents not only progress on a building, but progress toward a Centre for Teaching Excellence, Research, and Practice that will elevate innovation, interdisciplinary learning, and opportunities for our students for decades to come.
Your leadership support through the Cascade Campaign is what makes this work possible. Thank you for your partnership, your confidence, and your belief in this bold vision.
